![]() ![]() | Colour wash
means that one or more thin layers of plant glazes are applied to a white
surface. The colours of the layers beneath shine through and thus create a very
lively impression. Repeated
coats of supplementary or contrasting colours create natural tone-change
effects and a sense of depth. Please find an overview under the menu item
‘Glazing techniques’.
The full intensity of the Colour wash plant glazes No. 360 is best brought forth on a fresh, white surface. The glazes are mixed to the desired colour intensity with water. An average mixing ratio we can recommend is one part AURO glaze to one part water. Beginning at a mixing ratio of 1:3 we recommend the additional use of Colour Wash Binder No. 379 to retain the workability of the mixture. The Colour wash binder can also be used for self-mixing with powder pigments or as a protective coat on interior wall surfaces. |
![]() | Once the
Colour wash plant glaze is mixed in the right proportion, you can let your
creativity take its course. Wonderful effects can be achieved with a wide
brush. Choose from ten basic tones, ranging from a light reseda yellow to a
dark earth black. A limitless number of colour tone variations can be obtained
by applying one glaze layer on top of another (e.g. a yellow coat on blue
creates a green shade). Colour chart for No. 360 |
